2025 Activities Report
Building Momentum: Spotlighting CCA’s Industry Impact in 2025
What a difference a year makes! The Canadian Camps Association (CCA) has officially released its 2025 Activities Report, and it is a powerful testament to what happens when our national camp community "paddles in the same direction".
This past year marked our first full year with an Executive Director in place, providing the leadership capacity needed to strengthen operations and move intentionally toward our strategic goals. As we enter the final year of our current strategic plan, the CCA is standing on a foundation of greater stability and clarity than ever before.
Key Highlights from 2025 Included:
Powerful Advocacy: Our leadership traveled to Ottawa for a "Day on the Hill," meeting with MPs across party lines to champion the value of the camp sector.
The First Canadian Camp Census: We successfully launched a national industry data survey, achieving a 47% response rate from 323 camps to build an evidence-based future for our industry.
Tangible Member Camp Savings: Through our national commercial partnerships, over 110 accredited camps saved more than $250,000 on operating costs.
Research & Growth: We secured a generous research donation from the Jackman Foundation and expanded our Research Committee to better translate academic findings into practical tools for camp directors.
Strengthened Partnerships: We re-established our partnership with the American Camp Association (ACA), giving Canadian members access to a wealth of professional development and research resources.
Whether it was through the launch of National Discussion Groups or a new Mental Health Pilot Project, 2025 was a year of "coming together" to elevate the Canadian camp sector.
Our progress is only possible because of the dedicated volunteers, provincial partners, and donors who believe in the transformative power of camp. We invite you to dive into the full report to see the detailed committee updates and find out how you can get involved in the work ahead.
