“Parents can be one of our best barometers for measuring the success or failure of camp programming, staffing, and associated experiences for our campers,” writes CCA Research Chair Dr. Stephen Fine in the September/October 2013 issue of Camping Magazine.

Dr. Fine’s article, “Parent Study Suggests Strategies for Effective Use of Camp Research” presents the results of the final phase of the Canadian Summer Camp Research Project. He then suggests ways for camp directors to share significant camping research with parents to educate and encourage them to consider camp for their child.

“Overall, parents reported that positive changes in attitudes and behaviors continued or were maintained after camp,” writes Dr. Fine.
