While the Canadian Camping Association is concerned about the identification and maintenance of high quality, professional camping practices, it is currently the responsibility each provincial camping association to determine the most appropriate set of camping practices and standards for its members.

In October of 2001, the CCA hosted a national workshop on Standards and Accreditation to which came representatives of the Standards Committees of each PCA. There was a great deal of sharing over the course of the workshop.

While there are many similarities in the standards documents of each Provincial Camping Association, there are differences. For up-to-date information on standards in a particular province, please refer to the website of that PCA or contact the office directly.
